nyc reading of “my world book 1″

You’re cordially invited to a reading/signing of the recently launched My World Book 1: Hitching the Globe on $10 a Day in New York City, site of the journey’s start, at the Roger Smith Hotel in Manhattan, on Monday, November 12th, 7-8pm.

The bookish evening, hosted by Earthdog Press and The Roger Smith, includes an introduction by Michael Cannell, author of Incendiary and former editor at The New York Times, to be followed by a presentation of the book trailer, a book excerpt read by the author, Q&A, a signing and reception (cash bar).

The Roger Smith’s Lily’s Lounge is the same space where the author read from his first published work, Borderlands USA: or, How to Protect the Country by Car, in 2015.

About ben

Ben Batchelder has traveled some of the world's most remote roads. Nothing in his background, from a degree in Visual & Environmental Studies at Harvard to an MBA from Wharton, adequately prepared him for the experiences. Yet he persists, for through such journeys life unfolds. Having published four books that map the inner and exterior geographies of meaningful travel, he is a mountain man in Minas Gerais, Brazil who comes down to the sea at Miami Beach, Florida. His second travel yarn, To Belém & Back, received a starred review from Publishers Weekly. For more, visit www.benbatchelder.com.
